Graphicus Atelier

Graphicus Atelier, located at 47 Baltimore Street in Cumberland, is a Printmaking Studio and Gallery dedicated to making fine prints on paper. Classes, workshops and demonstrations are offered on an ongoing basis throughout the year. All workshops are hands-on, allowing participants to explore etching, monoprinting, waterless lithography, and photo etching. Private lessons and technical assistance in both digital and safe processes are available to those seeking to learn new safe studio practices. Artists of all levels are invited to participate. Graphicus Atelier is dedicated to the latest non-toxic, safe alternatives in the printmaking studio. Chayo de Chevez, instructor and owner of the gallery, is a leader in safe etching processes and has taught in many universities here and abroad. Recent invitations include Lalit Kala Academy, Chennai, India, University of Costa Rica, San Jose, and Lee Art Center, Arlington, Virginia.
