Hunting is a much loved, traditional outdoor activity enjoyed by families and groups of friends often times as an annual tradition. Deer, wild turkey, Canada goose, black bear, muskrat and mink are all species permitted to be hunted during specified times during the Maryland hunting season. We are happy to welcome hunters to Mountain Maryland for a fun and safe season!
Dan's Mountain State Park serves as a day use seasonal recreational facility that covers 481 acres and offers a wide variety of wildlife, mountain streams, overlooks and scenic beauty.
Bill Gostomski, owner of Gostomski’s Gunsmith Service, started his gunsmithing career in the Baltimore area in 1976 at the age of 20. He has been helping customers at his 2,000 square foot shop and 100-yard range in Western Maryland for 20+ years.
Green Ridge is full of opportunities for the adventurous including a challenging and scenic mountain biking trail; canoeing, kayaking, and angling on the Potomac River; and backpacking on a 24-mile hiking trail with new Adirondack-style shelters.
