Allegany College of Maryland is a high quality, low cost community college with its main campus set in the mountains of Maryland's Allegany County and branch locations in Pennsylvania's Bedford and Somerset Counties. ACM is open to all students who can profit from collegiate instruction.
Enrolling over 4,000 credit students and logging nearly 16,000 continuing education registrations per year, our small, attentive college atmosphere with a 17:1 credit student to instructor ratio, engages students of all ages and backgrounds in rich, challenging learning opportunities at all of our three campuses.
With day, evening and online classes, we offer course and program offerings tailored to needs of our students, as well as the cultural and economic demands of our community. Allegany College of Maryland students reflect the diversity of backgrounds and lifestyles of its regional population. Most students live within a thirty-mile radius of one of three programs.
