In my paintings I like to exploit every potential of the medium. My latest works are mostly acrylic paintings, as they allow me to create a luminous, layered effect. I wish to celebrate the underlying beauty and sensual nature of the natural world, both on earth and in celestial wonders.
I like to imitate that beauty with brush strokes, drips, splashes, and stamps... anything I can think of to manipulate color and light. Pattern and design play a major part in my work. I am inspired especially by August Renoir, Jackson Pollock, and Japanese modern artists Takashi Murakami and Ai Yamaguchi.
