Frostburg Center for Creative Writing

The Frostburg Center for Creative Writing hopes to provide a variety of opportunities in the literary arts for the greater Frostburg community (the Western Maryland panhandle, the Eastern WV panhandle, and Southwestern Pennsylvania) including access to living writers, writing workshops, and radio programming, as well as publication of a national literary journal (Nightsun) with significant distribution to area schools and a website with dedicated pages for educators to use with the journal.

Located in downtown Frostburg and sponsored by FSU, The Frostburg Center for Creative Writing serves Western Maryland and the surrounding areas by celebrating the literary arts through a variety of public events and productions, by educating and broadening an interested audience for literature, and by fostering new writers and their work.
