Originally a one-room schoolhouse, the Little Orleans Lodge has been serving the hiker-biker community and outdoor enthusiast since 2001. Nestled between Green Ridge State Forest and the C & O Canal National Historical Park (Mile Marker 141 on the towpath at Fifteen Mile Campground and just five miles west of the Western Maryland Rail Trail.) Little Orleans is the only stopover between Hancock and Cumberland, Maryland. Little Orleans Lodge is located only 1/2 mile from the C & O Canal Towpath and offers a variety of rooms to accommodate all visitors, from the solo hiker-biker to any large group.

  • 6 rooms can accommodate up to 13 guests
  • Two suites with queen-size beds are available
  • All rooms have shared bathrooms, sorry.
  • Breakfast is served daily at 8:00 am (Please let us know if you are lactose intolerant, any food allergies, Vegitarian, Vegan, or gluten free diet needs.)
  • Laundry is available for a minimal charge. (Lodge is not responsible for any shrinkage or fading)
  • Free wi-fi access for guest.
  • Shuttles Available for cars, small craft, bicycles, and people by arrangement.
  • Air and simple tools are available for minor bicycle repairs and adjustments.
  • Shuttles to the C & O Canal Bicycle Shop in Hancock, Maryland for major repairs can be arranged.
