Sadie’s -- where gathering is an ART! -- is located in one of downtown Frostburg’s many historic buildings. Right on Main Street, just three doors east of the library, the building spent its first 80 years as home to a barber shop and a large Frostburg family.
Known as a gathering spot for decades, the building is now home to the art gallery, named Sadie’s in honor of the family’s grand matriarch, Sadie LaPorta.
Sadie’s is open nine days a month, from the first Friday to the second Saturday. Each month brings new artwork, a fresh theme and new events for Frostburg residents and visitors. Hours are late afternoon, early evening during the week (Monday-Thursday), later on Friday, all day on Saturdays and Sunday afternoon.
Keeping the gathering spot tradition alive is a priority for Sadie’s. Main Street residents and visitors are encouraged to pop in. You never know what you might find!
Artists interested in showing their work are encouraged to contact us via email.
