Rolfe Singerman, a retired art teacher, is now substituting for the Allegany County Schools. He came from Ohio in 2001 where he taught in public schools for 30 years. Rolfe owned Singerman Video and Photography recording over 800 weddings with his medium format film based camera. At Harvey High School, in addition to teaching art, he directed publication of the school’s yearbook, coached cross-country and designed their photography course of instruction. His spare time is devoted to digitally capturing scenes of western Maryland.
Rolfe is a graduate of Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Institute of Art. A display of his work can be seen at Rehab 1st on Baltimore Street in Cumberland’s Town Center Mall and several local restaurants. He is a lifetime member of the National Education Assoc. and The Ohio Education Assoc. A current member of the Allegany Arts Council, he is also affiliated with The Allegany Area Art Alliance, The Cumberland Cultural Assoc., The Western Maryland Photography Assoc. and the YMCA.
