Snyder, Billie Jean

Description of Work Earthy watercolor landscape paintings of historical buildings, bridges and fields. Still life paintings of flowers in their natural habitat. Her goal is to create a nostalgic feeling with composition, light and color. The landscapes tend to be more realistic than the flowers, her greatest love, which are developed as she moves along with a wet-in-wet technique often producing some surprising results. Building washes intensifies the all important color helping the paintings reflect a feeling for nature.
