Betty Stallard is a member of Tarpon Springs Art Association, Largo Art Association, Creative Artist Guild, Alleghany Arts Council, and Alleghany Area Art Alliance. Her interest in art began in high school, where she studied art and was a member of the Art Club. She continues to study art and expand her portfolio.
While attending St. Petersburg's College she was honored to receive the Best of Show Award for her painting “Chocolate Eclairs”. In 2014 she won People's Choice at Sterling Gallery in Dunedin, Florida for her painting “Underwater Color”. At a Largo, Florida art show in 2015 Betty the won People's Choice Award for an acrylic painting “Following Our Leader”. Betty has a passion for nature and specializes in landscapes, seascapes, flowers, wildlife and is accomplished in both oil and acrylics. Traveling up north, she captivates the beautiful mountains, waterfalls, lakes, streams and wildlife in her paintings, which are displayed at various galleries. In Florida she finds inspiration in the lush tropical plants, seascapes and beautiful sunsets. Her first blue ribbon was won at a public exhibit in Frederick, Maryland, for her oil painting of the Great Smoky Mountains.
