Yarn Angels

The Tri-State Yarn Angels is a group of caring people who knit and crochet warm gifts for local groups. It grew from the project "Lids for Kids," when over 2,000 handmade hats were sent, in troop boxes, to Afghanistan, Kosovo and Bosnia.

Following this mission, the group wished to continue to serve and asked what local agencies might welcome the knitted and crocheted items, all made with love. Anyone wishing to knit or crochet, to add to the Yarn Angel connection, is welcome. Some Yarn Angels knit and crochet at home; others enjoy the gatherings.

The Tri-State Yarn Angels meet at the LaVale Library on the 2nd Monday of each month, from 5:30-9PM.
