Summer Fun

Maryland Mountain getaways are all about fun and relaxation. Natural beauty and small town charm take care of the relaxing part. Our events add the fun — a total change of pace just two hours from nearby metro regions. 

We have still got a lot of summer left and the summer fun to go with it! From music festivals, farmers' markets, outdoor movies (some with swimming!), and the annual Allegany County Fair featuring a performance from Trace Adkins, it's time to head to Mountain Maryland.

The Shriners promote and actively support our one and only philanthropy - Shriners Hospitals for Children.
The Allegany County Fairgrounds has been home to the annual Allegany County Fair & Ag Expo for more than 30 years. The grounds and multi-purpose building may be rented out for many events.
Cumberland Comes Alive! is Western Maryland's premier outdoor summer concert series. It takes place on the pedestrian-only bricks of Baltimore Street in the historic city center of downtown Cumberland on Fridays throughout the summer as well as some selec
