The Fall Dance Concert will showcase the skill of Jamie McGreevy, choreographer and FSU Dance coordinator, as well as the spectacular talent of the FSU Dance Company, on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 10 and 11, at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 3 p.m. in the F. Perry Smith Studio Theatre. "Double Play" features two performances in one evening. Act I, "Weight on Me," extends an exciting work presented during the spring 2016 dance concert. To the contemporary neo-classical music of composer Olafur Arnalds, the piece explores various forms of physical, emotional and social weight the human body encounters and endures. During Act II, "Manipulations," audiences will witness the investigative play between choreographers, dancers and designers as they each contribute to the movement through physical, audible and visual manipulation.
