A walking ghost tour of Historic Cumberland will be conducted on October 22 at 7:00PM. Tour guides in period costume will start the 90 minute tour at the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad Station where tickets may be purchased immediately prior to the tour. Tour guide Anne Potts states, "October is a great month for a ghost tour. It comes just before All-Hallows-Eve, and everyone is in the mood for tales of spirits from the past." The tour includes hauntings from the French and Indian War to modern day sightings. The tour is appropriate for all ages, and according to Potts, "Children on our haunted strolls seem to be the most receptive to the supernatural events." All proceeds are donated to local charities.
