Frostburg, Maryland, to be Featured on UPtv’s “Small Town Christmas”

The Episode Will Debut at 9 p.m. Sunday, December 18

Frostburg, Maryland (December 14, 2022) – As it has for the past 19 years, the town of Frostburg, Maryland, turned into a winter wonderland on December 3, for its annual Storybook Holiday event, which is hosted by both the Children's Literature Centre at Frostburg State University and the City of Frostburg. Highlights included appearances by Jack Frost, the hilarious Elf Olympics, Breakfast with the Elves, an Elf Workshop, a Holiday Market, and a parade starring Santa himself. If you missed this year’s festivities, the town and its beloved celebration will be featured on UPtv’s reality holiday special “Small Town Christmas,” a docuseries that pays tribute to small towns that celebrate the holidays in big ways. Frostburg’s episode will air as the Season 2 finale on Sunday, December 18 at 9 p.m. EST.

“Small Town Christmas” is hosted and executive produced by Megan Alexander, a national correspondent for “Inside Edition” and a bestselling author. Frostburg’s episode will highlight how the town celebrates the holiday season, including close looks at local businesses and attractions that make Frostburg what it is today. While the City of Frostburg and Storybook Holiday will be prominently featured, filming took place throughout Allegany County and included stops at McFarland Candies, the Princess Restaurant, Frostburg United Methodist Church, Main Street Books, the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, and the Community Model Railroad Club.

FrostburgFirst, the city’s nationally accredited and designated Maryland Main Street Program is hosting a live community watch party of the show on Sunday, December 18 at City Place (located at 14 S. Water Street). The viewing party is free and open to the public with limited capacity. Entry will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 8:30 p.m., with the show airing at 9 p.m. EST. Participants can enjoy cookies and cocoa as part of the viewing experience.

Frostburg’s episode is set to re-air on Monday, December 19 at 6:30 a.m. Additionally, all four episodes of Season 2 will air from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 22.
