Or, explore on our road routes through the RidewithGPS app to experience the ideal low-traffic riding conditions on trails such as the Mount Savage Lollipop or the Lake Loop. And we can’t forget the Great Allegheny Passage and C&O Canal Towpath, two internationally recognized trails that connect to form 333.5 miles of continuous car-free trail from Pittsburgh, PA, to Washington, DC, which meet right here in the heart of downtown Cumberland, MD, and have been recognized as model trails across the world.

RidewithGPS Cycling Routes

Cyclists love the road routes available here in Allegany County, the Mountain Side of Maryland. Traffic is a minimum, which makes travel faster and safer. We are geographically central to West Virginia and Pennsylvania and our neighboring Maryland counties, which means more routes for you, and the scenic beauty - well it isn't too shabby either! We partnered with Mountain Maryland Trails and the Western Maryland Wheelmen to bring you easy-to-navigate and shareable local bike routes. Check out the many scenic routes shareable  .
