Rocky Gap State Park

Rocky Gap State Park encompasses over 3,000 acres of rugged mountains surrounding the 243-acre Lake Habeeb. The park offers 260+ individual campsites (including 30 sites equipped with 30-amp electric hook-ups). The campground also has 13 Mini Cabins, a Yurt, a family group site, and two youth group camping areas. Rugged mountains surround the park, which also features 243-acre Lake Habeeb. The lake is fed by Rocky Gap Run, which winds through an impressive mile-long gap displaying sheer cliffs, overlooks, and a Hemlock forest dense with Rhododendron.

Enjoy amenities such as the Scales & Tales Aviary, a nature center, a swimming beach, a playground, trail access, Rocky Gap Snacks, and a camp store. Canoe, kayak, and stand up paddleboard rentals are available spring to fall, as weather and water temperature allow. This park is pet-friendly with pet swimming areas and pet-friendly camping loops and sites.
