Enter The Shop Small, Win Big Contest

This year, we've teamed up with our partners to bring you the Shop Small, Win Big campaign. When you shop at small businesses from November 29 - December 19, 2024, you can upload your receipt to be entered for a chance to win cash prizes, totaling $1,000. Each time you shop, you are eligible to win.

Prizes

• Three (3) $50 Visa gift cards will be selected each Thursday, December 5, 12 and 19, 2024
• The $550 grand prize Visa gift card winner will be selected on Friday, December 20, 2024

Contest Overview

The Shop Small, Win Big contest will begin at 8:00 am, on Plaid Friday (retailers take to push Black Friday sales into independently owned retailers and downtowns, on November 29, 2024) and end at 11:59 pm on Thursday, December 19, 2024.

Anyone shopping at small independently owned businesses in Allegany County through the contest period will have the opportunity to upload their receipts through the entry form for a chance to win the gift card prizes.

Each Thursday through the contest period - December 5, 12, & 19 - Allegany County Tourism will draw three winners for the $50 Visa gift cards using Random.org. All entries submitted up to that point will be eligible for the drawing. On Friday, December 20, Allegany County Tourism will draw the grand prize winner for the $550 Visa gift card, using Random.org. The more entries a person submits, the more chances they have to win the grand prize.

Contest Rules

• Participants must submit a separate entry form for each qualifying receipt. 
• There is no limit on the number of entries a Participant can submit.
• There is no minimum purchase required.
• Winners will be contacted by the email provided in the form.
• Winners will have 24 hours to respond to claim their prize. If the response is not received within 24 hours from initial contact, another winner will be selected. 
• Entrants are eligible for up to one (1) $50 gift card as well as the $550 grand prize. 
• Applicants must be 18 years of age to participate in the contest.
